“I am most excited about getting to know the campers, seeing their gifts and talents throughout the weeks, and growing closer to God’s love together as a big WaMaVa family. I can’t wait!”

“Do you like having fun? Getting to know God? Making new friends? Then you’ll be coming to Camp WaMaVa this year! I can’t wait to make new memories with campers in a time where we all need that connection, and I’m looking forward to all the new memories we’ll create. And as John F. Kennedy said, the only thing to fear is missing a WaMaVa campfire.”

“Camp has always been the place in which I see God the most. Whether it be my friendships, the people I interact with briefly, fireflies in July, or Cheryl’s medicinal hugs, I’ve never come to WaMaVa and not felt the love of the Lord in every aspect of this place. I came here this year in hopes that I could be just one of the many vessels of love that campers will experience in their time here this summer.”

“I come to WaMaVa because there is not a moment I have been here that I have not felt loved by those around me and God. I’m so pumped to be a WaMaVa camp counselor.”

Why I came to WaMaVa: “When I was younger I never really I felt like I had a purpose or God really loved me and once I experienced the love of God through people, found God, and gave my life to Christ, I discovered my purpose and hope to be an encouragement to the kids.”

Why I came to WaMaVa: “I’ve been coming to WaMaVa since I was seven and have wanted to be a counselor for a long time because of the counselors I have had.”
